Then the white man came from the Atlantic Ocean in the mid 1600s, followed by the Bantu tribes coming in from the north almost two centuries later. Ever since, these tribes have been almost swallowed by the invaders, forced into a modernisation they did not want nor need, then completely ignored in their plight for recognition and restitution of the lands that are rightly theirs. To this day they try to have their voices heard by approaching national and international bodies to no avail.
